Professional Photographer Kate Martin

I have been advised that this page should reflect my passion for photography, why I want to stand behind my camera, and who I am. I simply can't. As many of you, I don't like to talk about myself, aka "toot my own horn". However, I did ask one of my best friends to describe me, and I was surprised myself with what she came up with. Not because it would not be true, but because looking back, I cannot say I have any regrets when it comes to my photography years, and that is what I keep shooting for!

As a seasoned photographer and photojournalist, Kate has been painting original and unique profiles on the tapestry of photos. Her mastery of the craft has landed her in front of world-renowned stages, shooting some of today’s top-performing artists and bands, as well as at the altars of intimate wedding events, or capturing stunning individual portraits. Her natural ability to creatively angle each photo and preserve raw beauty is something that simply can’t be taught.

Trained in Europe, where she spent her first 25 years, by one of the world’s leading photographers, Kate has built a solid portfolio both nationally and internationally. You can find her work published by national online magazines, as well as on various multimedia platforms around the globe. Her bridal photos were recognized by Martha Stewart and listed on Bride’s Choice in 2009 and 2010. She has shot on assignment for Southwest Airline’s intimate concert experience, ‘Live at 35’, and has served as a photo editor to leading celebrity photographers.

Her images are proudly displayed on the walls of families' homes, and a few were even used for music album covers. Still, others grace various websites or hang at doctors' offices. Her work has been printed in magazines, pamphlets, and brochures, and many were used to show products in multiple international online stores.

When she’s not behind the camera painting a landscape of memories, you will find Kate adventurously traveling the world, crunching popcorn in a movie theater, or stealing away a quiet moment with her husband and their furry kids."
